The nitrogen extracted by membrane nitrogen generator has high purity

The membrane nitrogen generator allows compressed air to pass through the hollow fiber membrane. When the air passes through the membrane, oxygen, carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide and water vapor in the air will pass through the small holes in the hollow fiber membrane pipe and be discharged into the atmosphere. At the membrane outlet, large-size nitrogen molecules and inert gas argon are collected and transported to the application equipment. This nitrogen separation and extraction technology is simple and effective, without any moving parts. The purity of the separated and extracted nitrogen is up to 99.5% without any impurities.
Pressure swing adsorption technology is to separate a single component in a gas mixture through a solid medium, and pressure swing adsorption technology is used to separate nitrogen in the air. The required solid medium is a carbon molecular sieve, which selectively adsorbs oxygen in the air. Thus, the nitrogen and oxygen in the air are separated under pressure.
The carbon molecular sieve is actually porous and loose rod-shaped carbon particles. When the nitrogen purification filled column filled with carbon molecular sieve particles is filled with compressed air (the main components are nitrogen, oxygen and inert gas argon and a small amount of water vapor), the carbon molecular sieve will Adsorbs water vapor, oxygen, but nitrogen will not be adsorbed. This is mainly because the molecular size of nitrogen and oxygen are different. The small pores on the carbon molecular sieve particles allow oxygen with a small molecular size to enter, but not nitrogen, because the molecular size of nitrogen is larger than oxygen; thus, nitrogen and oxygen are separated opened.
The process of pressure swing adsorption includes two steps and stages:
1. In the adsorption stage, oxygen, water vapor, and carbon dioxide in the compressed air are adsorbed by the carbon molecular sieve column, and nitrogen is collected and stored.
2. In the regeneration stage, the pressure of the carbon molecular sieve column is released into the atmosphere, and the carbon molecular sieve particles that adsorb oxygen, carbon dioxide, and water vapor release the adsorbed oxygen, carbon dioxide, and water vapor, thereby preparing for the next adsorption.
The process of pressure swing adsorption needs to maintain a stable temperature, which is usually close to the ambient temperature of the laboratory (20-25 ℃). The nitrogen produced by pressure swing adsorption technology has a purity of 99.999%. The higher the purity, the more air will be consumed during the production process.
Pressure swing adsorption technology and membrane separation nitrogen generator technology to produce nitrogen have their own advantages and disadvantages. The specific method used to produce nitrogen depends on the application and flow rate requirements. On the market, some people say that nitrogen membranes and carbon molecular sieves are consumables and need to be replaced regularly, which is wrong. If the user's oil removal and water removal filters are not effective, the separation effect of carbon molecular sieves and nitrogen membranes will slowly fail with the increase of service life.
