DESCRIPTION

XB Series blower purge adsorption dryer are designed for continuous separation of water vapour from compressed air thus reducing dew point. Operation of dryer requires two columns operated alternately. Adsorption takes place under pressure in first column while second column regenerates with a heated ambient air or purge.

 

XB Series blower purge adsorption dryer consists of two columns, filled with desiccant beads, blower, heater, controller with LCD dicplay, valves, manometers, and support construction. Proven robust design enables efficient and reliable operation, fast installation and simple maintenance.


HIGH QUALITY TWO LAYER DESICCANT BED

XB Series blower purge adsorption dryer are filled with a high quality robust desiccant which results in stable operation with low energy input for regeneration. The primary desiccant is a silica gel with an extremely high drying potential.

 

To prevent potential degradation of the primary desiccant, due to liquid water, the bottom part of the column is filled with an additional layer of special water resistant silica gel.  The advantages are as following:

Stable pressure dew point down to -70 deg c

Low regeneration temperature with energy saving up to 33%

Extended desiccant service life

 

Energy saving dew point dependent  control (DPD) 

XB Series blower purge adsorption dryer are designed for “full load” at pre-determined operating conditions (flow, pressure, temperature). 

 

However in reality “full load” is typically not present all the time meaning that the dryer is operating under partial load. In this case the adsorption cycle can be extended. If the BR dryer is equipped with dew point dependent sensor (available as optional equipment) it can detect when the load is reduced at witch  point the controller automatically adjusts the cycles so that energy consumption is reduced to a minimum.

Blower purge adsorption dryer installation rules:
1. When choosing a site, a wide and well-lit place must be used to facilitate operation and maintenance.
2. Air requirements: The relative humidity of the air should be low, the dust is little, the air is clean and well ventilated.
3. Environmental requirements: The ambient temperature must be lower than 40 ℃, because the higher the ambient temperature, the less the air output from the compressor.
5. Reserve a passageway, and those who have the conditions can install a crane to facilitate maintenance.
6. Reserve space for maintenance. The distance between the compressor and the wall must be at least 70 cm.
7. The distance from the top space is at least 1 meter.

 

Notes on the use of the blower purge adsorption dryer:
1. The oil content of the air entering the tower should be controlled below 0.01mg/m3. In view of the fact that oil-free air compressors cannot be truly oil-free at present, in order to prevent the accumulation of trace oil in the adsorption bed and block the dryer, the air intake in the dryer It is necessary to install a degreaser at the mouth;
2. The blower purge adsorption dryer should be used under the conditions of rated temperature and pressure. When the intake air temperature is higher or the intake pressure is lower than the rated value, the capacity should be corrected;
3. When the blower purge adsorption dryer is used in conjunction with a piston air compressor, a pressure-stabilized gas storage tank should be installed in front to eliminate the high-speed impact of the pulsating airflow on the adsorbent;
4. When using the blower purge adsorption dryer, do not deliberately "energy-saving" and reduce the regeneration gas consumption (including regeneration gas volume and heating power);
5. When there is a "cold dryer front", the connection between the adsorption dryer and the cold dryer, as long as the site permits, should be installed as far as possible to reduce the air pressure drop, improve the conditions of the cold dryer and facilitate daily Maintenance overhaul
