The flange compressed air filter is mainly used to separate the water and oil in the compressed air, and filter out the dust and solid impurities in the air. It is generally installed behind the screw air compressor cooler or air storage tank. In the compressed air system, the compressed air filter is generally installed according to the principle of the first three and the second one. The main function of the filter at the front of the dryer is to remove relatively large particles such as water and oil mist. The main function of the filter at the back of the dryer is It filters ultrafine dust to ensure the quality of the compressed air at the outlet.

The flange compressed air filter should be installed at a low temperature. The lower the temperature, the lower the saturated water vapor content of the air. Therefore, as much water vapor as possible is condensed into liquid water and then filtered, because the filter can only filter a certain amount Solid or liquid impurities. Do not install it behind the quick-opening valve if it does exist, but also when opening the valve, the valve can be opened slowly without causing a strong impact on the filter.

Installation method of flange compressed air filter

1. Clean the compressed air pipes and valves connected to the air inlet and outlet of the filter before installation.

2. Adopt the combination of main pipe filtration and terminal filtration to ensure the gas quality at the point of use.

3. When installing, the air inlet and outlet of the filter should be kept level, and the sewage outlet should be at the bottom. A certain space must be reserved in the vertical direction to facilitate the maintenance of the filter and the replacement of the filter element.

4. The filter of the screw air compressor should be installed in a ventilated and cool place, as close as possible to the air point, to reduce the influence of the pipeline on the quality of the filtered compressed air.

5. Install and use within the specified working pressure and working temperature range, and install all levels of filters in the correct order according to the air inlet and outlet instructions or the direction indicated by the arrow, from coarse to fine installation. Avoid bypass as much as possible during installation. Because the oil in the air is bypassed to the downstream of the filter and then sticks to the inner wall of the pipeline, it is difficult to find effective means to remove it.

6. The filter element should be replaced regularly. When replacing the filter element, use an Allen wrench to unscrew the four screws of the lower cover and take out the old filter element from below. Carefully record the replacement time. It is recommended that the working time z should not exceed 8000 hours.

7. The discharge time of the auto drain is suitable for draining the liquid water, and the discharge interval is subject to the water content in the pipeline.

8. Different grades of compressed air filters can be equipped with electronic drain valves or manual valves according to customer requirements.
