Because liquid nitrogen is chemically inert and is often used as a protective gas, liquid nitrogen is required in many industries, and the manufacturing process of liquid nitrogen has become very important. The emergence of liquid nitrogen generators has solved this problem very well.
The working principle of the liquid nitrogen generator is to separate the air, the oxidation reaction occurs on the negative side of the electrolytic membrane, eat the oxidizing gas in the air, and reduce it on the positive side. After the air flows through the electrolytic cell, only the liquid nitrogen and the inert gas are left. Therefore, many products are marked with "relative oxygen content", the purity of liquid nitrogen, the air velocity, the length of the effective decomposition surface, and the strength of the electrolytic potential are related. The separation method of the liquid nitrogen generator also determines the liquid The purity of nitrogen cannot be made very high. The effect of adding electrolyte is to improve the conductivity of water and make the electrochemical reaction proceed smoothly.
In the process of using the liquid nitrogen generator, the following points need everyone to pay attention to:
1. Inspection before use: Before the liquid nitrogen generator is put into use, the appearance, logo, product certificate, instruction manual of the liquid nitrogen container should be checked. The container pressure gauge should be sent to the metrological verification agency for inspection before use. Container safety valves, bursting discs and other safety devices should be in good condition and can be put into use without abnormal conditions.
2. Check the casing for defects before filling: Before filling the laboratory liquid nitrogen generator, check whether the casing is sunken and whether the vacuum exhaust port is intact. If it is damaged, the degree of vacuum will be reduced. If it is serious, the air inlet cannot be insulated, causing frost on the upper part of the tank, and the loss of liquid nitrogen is large, which will lose the value of continued use.
3. Pay attention to the storage method of the liquid nitrogen container: the liquid nitrogen generator should be stored in a ventilated and cool place, and should not be placed directly in the sun. In addition, the laboratory liquid nitrogen generator cannot be tilted, leveled, inverted, piled up, bumped against each other, or collided with other objects during use or storage. Handle it gently and keep it upright at all times.
4. Check the use of the fuel tank at any time during use.
5. Establish daily maintenance records: The production and operation unit should formulate the rules and regulations for safe production of laboratory liquid nitrogen generators and safe operating procedures, and establish records of regular inspection and daily maintenance of containers.
Note for use of liquid nitrogen generator:
1. Before use, check whether there is any obstruction in the air inlet of the liquid nitrogen generator in the laboratory, and pay attention to cleaning.
2. The piston sealing ring of the instrument has a certain life. Please turn off the instrument in time after use.
3. After the instrument is used for a period of time, the electrolyte will gradually decrease. When the electrolyte is near the lower limit, water should be replenished in time. Do not exceed the upper limit when adding liquid.
4. Do not run the laboratory liquid nitrogen generator without load when the air source is not connected, otherwise the entire instrument will be scrapped.
5. When the instrument needs to be transported, suck the electrolyte in the liquid storage barrel with a suction pipe, and then cover the lid to prevent the residual electrolyte from overflowing during transportation, which will corrode the entire instrument and cause irreparable consequences.
6. If the instrument is stopped for one month or more, please remove the electrolyte.
