Common problems and solutions for compressed air filters

1. Poor filtering solution
1) The intake air is not pre-treated, and a pre-filter is added;
2) The filter element is aging, replace the filter element;
3) The air contains chemical substances that cannot be absorbed by the filter element, which should be pre-treated according to the situation;
4) If the flow exceeds the rated value, replace the large flow filter;
5) There is an air short circuit inside the filter, find the cause, and deal with it symptomatically;
6) The fastening screw of the filter element is not tightened, tighten the filter element;
7) The inlet and outlet of the filter are connected reversely, and reconnect with the mark direction;
8) The downstream pipeline is not clean, flush the downstream pipeline;
9) If there are residual pollutants at the point of use, remove the residual pollutants;
10) The bypass valve is not closed tightly, close the bypass valve tightly.
2. Filtering does not work solution
1) The inlet and outlet valves are not opened, open the valve;
2) The filter element is seriously blocked, replace the filter element;
3) The filter is damaged, replace the filter;
4) The pipe is blocked, repair the pipe.
Three, pressure drop increase solution
1) If the core is blocked or the adsorption capacity is too large, replace the filter;
2) The intake impurity load is large, and pretreatment is performed;
3) Water accumulation in the filter cartridge, find out the cause, and drain the remaining water;
4) The automatic drainer fails, adjust and repair or replace the drainer;
5) The filter installation is not level, reinstall it.
How to properly maintain the compressed air filter:
1) The core part of the compressed air filter is the filter element, which is composed of special materials, which are vulnerable parts and need special protection;
2) When the precision filter has been working for a period of time, the filter element is loaded with a certain amount of impurities. At this time, the pressure drop increases and the flow rate will decrease. The impurities in the filter must be removed in time, and the filter element must be cleaned;
3) When removing impurities, pay special attention to the precision filter element, and it must not be deformed or damaged. Otherwise, the filter element that is installed again will not meet the design requirements after filtration;
4) Some precision filter elements cannot be used repeatedly;
5) If the filter element is found to be deformed or damaged, it needs to be replaced immediately.
