Working principle of compressed air filter:
1. The air generally contains harmful substances such as dust, rust, moisture, etc. The air with harmful substances is compressed and then enters the first set of filtering device of compressed air or filter. Compressed air will have a coalescing effect in the first filter device, that is, some particles will be condensed when passing through this channel, and larger particles will stay on the filter screen, because the particles are larger and filtered When these small particles condense for a long time, the water will become larger water droplets.
2. After that, the compressed air will enter the separation chamber. After entering the separation chamber, the air flow speed will naturally slow down. When the air circulation speed slows down, the particles flowing through the previous channel will gather again. There is a water vapor like honeycomb in the separation chamber, and the passing water mist will condense on this water trap. The non-condensed water is water with impurities. The water with impurities will flow along the bottom of the device, and then when it reaches the position of the drainage device, the electric drain gate will discharge the water.
3. When the compressed air passes through the first device, basically 95% of the water droplets and harmful substances have been filtered out, and then enter the second device. When passing through the second device, a lot of small vortices will be generated, and the speed of the air will increase many times when entering this device. In the second device, the debris that was not filtered when passing through the first device will be vaporized, filtered, and converted again. Basically, small particles that pass through the second device will also be completely removed.
4. After the filtration of the two equipments, a relatively dry and clean compressed air with no dust, oil, and fog will be obtained. After the clean air is obtained, the service life of the pneumatic equipment can be extended.
During the use of the compressed air filter, it is recommended to check the differential pressure gauge and drain of the filter once a week. If the pressure difference meter shows that the pressure difference of the condensation filter is high, after the pressure difference meter shows high data (that is, higher than the filter manufacturer's recommendation), continued use will cause liquid water, oil, etc. to contaminate subsequent equipment. If a membrane dryer is connected behind the compressed air filter, the dew point of the compressed air will increase, the drying effect will be affected, and the dryer may be contaminated and damaged.
If it is found that the drainage volume is reduced, the pressure should be reduced, the shell should be removed for inspection, and the drainer should be checked whether it is working properly. If abnormality occurs, it should be replaced immediately.
For the maintenance of the compressed air filter element, it is recommended to store the filter element as a spare part for use at any time. If the life of the compressed air filter is less than 6 months, it indicates that the compressor needs maintenance, or the pipeline is corroded and polluted seriously. The filter element should be replaced regularly (6 months). When replacing the filter element, wash the filter housing and auto drain with warm soapy water to remove oil accumulation. Fill the housing with water when cleaning, and observe whether the auto drain is working properly. It is to see whether the water is discharged from the drain, and the detailed instructions for replacing or replacing the filter element provided by the filter manufacturer should be followed.
