  In the heated adsorption dryer, the adsorbent itself will reach water saturation after adsorbing a certain amount of moisture in the compressed air (called "adsorption equilibrium). At this time, the adsorbent that has reached the adsorption equilibrium state must be dewatered. -This process is called "adsorbent desorption", and the adsorption energy can be restored to the original state-this process is called "adsorbent regeneration".
  Once the water vapor in the compressed air comes into contact with the surface of the adsorbent, the adsorption process can take place immediately without the need for external energy to push the adsorption process, so the adsorption process is completely spontaneous. However, the desorption process cannot proceed spontaneously, and it must be completed with the full intervention of external energy. The regeneration method of the adsorbent and the regeneration energy consumption are the main factors affecting the operation of the heating adsorption dryer.
  The dew point of compressed air treated by the adsorption dryer can reach very low. Therefore, the adsorption dryer has been the most widely used in the process where extremely dry compressed air is required.
  Under the same other conditions, the type of adsorbent determines the dew point of compressed air.
  The adsorption temperature and the concentration of water vapor in the adsorbed gas have a great influence on the adsorption effect. For the adsorbent, the higher the partial pressure of water vapor or the lower the adsorption temperature, the higher the equilibrium moisture content of the adsorbent, and the greater the equilibrium moisture content. low. The industry is using this feature to design and manufacture compressed air adsorption dryers with two different regeneration mechanisms, namely non-heat regeneration and heating regeneration adsorption dryers.
