  Cyclone water separator is a water droplet that collides with the wall of the dehydrator under the action of centrifugal force after the gas flow enters, so that the droplet loses kinetic energy and separates from the gas flow to achieve the purpose of dust removal and dehydration.   The cyclone water separator is mainly composed of an intake pipe, an exhaust pipe, a cylinder, a cone and an ash hopper. The cyclone dust collector is simple in structure, easy to manufacture, install, maintain and manage, and has low equipment investment and operating costs. It has been widely used to separate solid and liquid particles from airflow or to separate solid particles from liquid. Under normal operating conditions, the centrifugal force acting on the particles is 5 to 2500 times that of gravity, so its efficiency is much higher than that of a gravity sedimentation chamber.
  The cyclone eliminator should have the following basic characteristics:
  1. High water removal efficiency and low ventilation resistance. When the wind speed V=1m/s and the water density q=8m3/(m2·h), the interception efficiency η of the water separator should not be less than 75% (silica gel method), and the resistance should not be greater than 0.13 (Pa·m3) /N.
  2. It has sufficient assembly rigidity. Under normal operating conditions, its geometric shape should remain stable for a long time to ensure that the eliminator maintains a long-term stable high-efficiency and low-resistance operation effect.
  3. It has excellent properties of corrosion resistance, aging resistance and no deformation.
  4. The assembly block of the eliminator should have sufficient rigidity and strength. Under the condition of simple support, the test piece with a clear span of 1300mm under a uniform load of 300N/m2 (38℃, 72h) should have no obvious deformation at the support and loading surface, and the maximum deflection should be ≤510mm.
  5. Simple structure, easy to process, economical and durable.
  In the water distribution using the rotating water distribution pipe, a water baffle is installed on the pipe arm of the water distribution pipe to replace the dewatering device. In a mechanically ventilated counter-flow cooling tower, when the pipe-type water distribution system is adopted, the water eliminator is installed above the water distribution pipe; when the trough-type water distribution is adopted, the water eliminator can be arranged in the middle of the water distribution tank or in the upper space of the tank Inside. In cross-flow cooling towers, horizontal and vertical louvers are generally used as water separators. In addition to water removal, the cross-flow tower also has a wind guiding effect.
