SCALA's membrane nitrogen generator uses the Parker nitrogen membrane unit and precision filter imported from Europe. Compressed air enters the center of the fiber through one end of the module, and contacts the membrane as it flows through the inner hole of the fiber. Oxygen, water vapor and other trace gases permeate the fiber membrane very easily and are removed through a permeation port, while the nitrogen remains inside the membrane until it flows to the outlet. Because water vapor also permeates the membrane, nitrogen becomes very dry, and the pressure dew point can reach below -50°C.
